A Month of Sundays - Cookbook

Here is the ultimate comfort cookbook, recipes from the Southern belles of my family. I have always loved everything Southern, the slow easy life, the weather, and the people... but especially the food. Ever since my first trip there as a small child, it has called to my heart.

I suppose that’s why I chose the South for the setting of my Loose Leaf Ladies teatime book series, and why food is mentioned so much in the first book, Meanwhile I Keep Dancing. You can find Meanwhile I Keep Dancing on our ebook link in our menu.

Fiction and the Loose Leaf Ladies aside, all of the recipes in my new cookbook, A Month of Sunday, are tried and true. Some have been passed down to me from my Southern grandma, Velma, my German grandma, Iva, and my mother, Pearl. I dedicate this book to the women who nurtured and taught me to love good food and to love cooking good food.

There’s nothing like good Southern food. Recipes such as Seafood Gumbo, Sour Cream Coconut Cake and Fried Green Tomatoes Benedict nourish the body, mind and spirit. If you look up “comfort food” in the dictionary, I'm sure there's just a one-word definition…. Southern.
